Luxury babywear label Bonnie Baby has won the Designer Baby Fashion award for its first full collection, Spring Summer 2011, at the inaugural Junior Magazine Design Awards.
Since its launch in 2005, Brighton based Bonnie Baby has become one of the UK?s coolest children?s fashionwear labels, popular with celebrities and royalty alike. Celebrity fans of the label include Claudia Schiffer, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jules Oliver and the Princess of Denmark. Tracey Samuel, who had a successful career as head of knitwear at Sonia Rykiel before launching Bonnie Baby, designs the label.
The Junior Magazine Design Awards celebrate excellence in design and style. Winners had to illustrate design aesthetics with superb functionality, innovation, exceptional quality and value for money.
Tracey Samuel, designer and founder of Bonnie Baby said:
?I am delighted to have won a Junior Magazine Design Award for Best Designer Baby Fashion. It is fantastic to get recognition for our label and it is made all the more special that we have won for our first full babywear collection, Spring Summer 2011. We are really proud of the collection. It is selling really well but it is also great to have the acknowledgement from Junior Magazine, the most respected British children?s fashion magazine.?
The new Bonnie Baby Spring Summer collection has captured a real sense of innocence and fun. While the mood is distinctly vintage, the pieces are brought up to date with little details ? a flash of acid colour on a broderie anglaise dress or an unusual combination of fabrics. As you would expect from Bonnie Baby, the collection combines cool, contemporary styling and great attention to detail with fantastic quality and practicality.
